Countering the myth of Manchesterism
On the occasion of Richard Cobden's 200th Birth anniversary the Liberal Institute came out with a research paper on this outstanding liberal, who has been revered as the “Champion of the Poor”. Unfortunately presently his views and policies have gone into disrepute. This is a laudable effort by Dr. Detmar Doering to clear the dust.
